Dunchurch
Sportsfield & Village Hall
Rates for 2023 & 2024
A session is
up to 3 hours within a morning, afternoon or evening period. A charge
for a session also includes an additional hour for setting up/closing
down. Otherwise, any additional setting up/closing down time is normally
charged at the hourly rate.
Local
(Families/Organisations of Dunchurch and Neighbourhood Districts)
‘Local’ rates are for residents or organisations within the Dunchurch Parish Boundaries.
The Hours available to hire the
hall are:
09:00hrs to 23:00hrs Monday to Thursday
09:00hrs to 18:00hrs Friday to Sunday.
Extensions beyond 18:00hrs will be considered on an individual hire
basis.

Additional Prices
Use of the kitchen for light refreshments (tea/coffee, etc) is
included in the charges shown but full use of the kitchen (including
cooker and function crockery/cutlery) costs an extra £36.30. For some
events a 'partial' charge may be applicable, depending on
requirements.
The Bookings Secretary must be notified at the outset should the sale of alcohol be proposed, as specific permission and authority is necessary for which there is an additional charge of £26.50. The Hire Charges rates are subject to periodic review. Additional charges may be made for breakages and losses, and if the premises are not left clean and tidy. Further details of the Wedding Package are available on request.
For
all enquiries about bookings, hire conditions and rates, please contact
the Bookings Secretary:
A booking
request may be provisionally accepted by telephone or email. Subsequently
a ‘Hire Agreement’ form (containing the requested details)
will be issued for signing and return (as directed on form) to the Bookings
Secretary by the Hirer.
For ‘Parties’
(eg. Discos, Birthdays, Anniversaries and Wedding Receptions) and ‘Commercial’
bookings, full payment (or a significant deposit) may be required with
the return of the ‘Hire Agreement’ form. Further, an additional
premium may be levied to cover the unlikely eventuality of additional
charges being incurred, ie. for breakages and losses, or if the premises
are not left clean and tidy. In the case of a change of a booking to another
date usually there will be no extra charge.
There is a NOISE LIMITER installed in the Main Hall for the
satisfaction of local residents. This is set at a maximum volume
of 95 decibels. If you go above that limit this will switch off
the power to the hall and you will not be able to switch it back on
again until a keyholder is called out. This will obviously
affect your enjoyment of the hall and needs to be considered strongly.
Calling out keyholders for such an occasion may result in loss of your
bond in full or part. You may wish to discuss this point before
booking.
If a Hirer cancels a weekend
event (including a Friday evening) less than 6 months before the event
or cancels any other event less than 3 months prior to the event, a
cancellation charge of up to the full amount of Hire Fee could be
payable.
Bookings
for rehearsals preceding performance events will attract a 25% reduction.
The Hall
has a Premises Licence (which incorporates regulated entertainment, eg.
music, dancing and theatre, and licensed authority for the sale of alcohol)
and a Performing Right Society Ltd Licence (for musical performances).
The Bookings Secretary must be notified at the outset about such proposed
events. This is especially so should the sale of alcohol be requested
as specific permission and authority is necessary for which there is an
additional charge of £26.50.
Note: It
is against the law to smoke inside the premises.
