Dunchurch Dialogue Spring 2009

Dunchurch Village Hall

Over the break between Christmas & New Year, the Hall & the Youth Club area underwent a major programme of redecoration. Thanks go to those Trustees who were able & prepared to give up their time once again, in carrying out the annual maintenance.

The enhanced Village Hall Web Site is being used more & more frequently, recording in excess of 3,500 hits over the recent months. The Wemaster, Keith Brushett, has introduced a bookings e-mail address which is proving to be more & more popular as an alternative to the telephone, for enquiring about a booking. The Trustees have made the transition to the computerised Avalon Bookings Management System, which has now been in operation since the beginning of the year. A number of you will already have received the new style printed Hire Agreement.

We previously reported that an extension to the stage had been purchased from a company called Stage Systems, which has successfully been used for a performance by the Dunchurch Silver Band and for the Pantomime. For anyone who might like to consider using the muti-level staging, it is possible to use it in a variety of configurations, either as an extention to the main stage or free-standing in the Hall, for say a cabaret or similar function. Further information is available on request.

The Hall facilities continue to be used at a similar level to the previous year and many of the more popular weekend dates in 2009 have already been reserved. Those wishing to make a booking should contact Valerie Chapman on 01788 810297 (dedicated bookings line) or by e-mail bookings@dunchurchsportsandvhall.co.uk.

The Annual General Meeting for Dunchurch Sportsfield & Village Hall will take place on 25th March, full details of which will be advertised on the various village notice boards and on the Web Site.
